Stop Watching, Start Living.

We're teaching Shayne these body systems and he's really enjoying them so far! We have so many other books for him at home, and luckily, he loves to read most of them. When I was young, my mother would always tell me that "there can never be too many books at home. It's better to litter your house with many books, than for it to be spick and span, without a single book in sight."

And I couldn't agree more with her. Books are a great way for children to learn more about themselves, and everything else around them. We have fictional and non-fictional books in every single room of our house (living room, bedrooms, and even the kitchen!). Whenever we're bored, we will pick up a book which is nearest to us, and start reading at least a page or two. It's a great way to pass time, especially for little Shayne, and it's better than watching the one-eye monster aka the tv!

I will upload our recent trips (MacRitchie Forest Trail and Sentosa Flugtag event) soon. Either on Monday or Tuesday. We had such a fun time looking at the monkeys at MacRitchie, and we had a blast during the Luge ride at Sentosa. We're even thinking of returning to Sentosa to purchase an unlimited luge ride for the entire day, it will so much fun! Woohooo!!

Till then, :)

/ps: For those who are wondering what the Luge is about: "The Luge is a self-driving car system in which riders control the speed by pushing a pair of handlebars back and forth. The luge ride goes downhill, relying on gravitational pull to move. Before the ride, the Skyride using chairlifts brings riders and luge carts to the starting point. The Skyride is similar to a ski lift."

  4. My heart melts of joy whenever I see parents paying attention to books and showing their children how to love them. It is really a great base for their future. You are doing a great job Marie. And your mother's word are so wise :)
