What We Did in Hongkong Part 2!

Day 2- We visited the famous Chinese Temples, ate @ Tim Ho Wan, took the ferry boat ride, and shopped! (and met up with friends again too!)

1) A medium-sized temple which is popular among business owners

Majestic.

Leaving the temple to another one...

2) Next, we headed to the famous Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple
"The Wong Tai Sin Temple’s claim to ‘make every wish come true upon request’ might have something to do with its popularity. Home to three religions (Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism) its natural setting and beautifully ornamented buildings make it as much a scenic attraction as an important religious centre. Feng Shui enthusiasts may notice structures representing the five geomantic elements: the Bronze Pavilion (metal); the Archives Hall (wood); the Yuk Yik Fountain (water); the Yue Heung Shrine (fire), where the Buddha of the Lighting Lamp is worshipped; and the Earth Wall (earth). Other areas of the complex include the Three Saints Hall, the Confucian Hall and the extravagantly colourful Good Wish Garden that is lavishly decorated with chinoiserie."

It was sooo crowded and quite smoky as everyone was praying and holding incense sticks everywhere..

The wishing well. We threw in a few coins and made some wishes. ;)

Haha photobomb by a stranger.

Leaving the temple... It was a good experience as we don't have such extravagant and colourful temples in Singapore.

Small shops outside the temple.
We felt hungry after all the walking in the temples, and decided to head over to Tim Ho Wan for lunch! Best lunch/dimsum ever!!! The food from Tim Ho Wan @ Hongkong tastes sooo much better than Singapore's one, especially the BBQ pork bun. ;)

Waiting for our turn, there was a long queue..
After waiting for about 30 mins, it was finally our turn! Yay! Shayne loved the steamed egg cake the most.
After a full lunch of good food, we went back to our hotel for a short rest before setting off again. Here's Shayne playing with his ice-cream, again. ;D

At a cafe which sells the famous HK's curry/chilli fishballs and yummy chee cheong fun. So much good food in HK! Yummm.
We decided to take the ferry at night and it was really cold! Here we are, waiting for the ferry to arrive.

Shivering with Shayne and babyboy in the 'oven'
Sitting in the ferry // Travelling across the sea and looking at the bright city lights of Hongkong at night... :)
Family photo! Say Cheese!
Bright lights of Hongkong @ night. It was almost 11pm, but everyone sleeps so late and the city was still so full of life and energy. :)

Hahaha this promoter for an indian restaurant kept scaring people by making sudden jumping movements and "Boo!" moments to capture the people's attention. It was really entertaining to see him promoting the restaurant to others.

Drinking watermelon + mango juice with small aloe vera pieces and small balls of watermelon. So good!
We headed back to our hotel at around midnight after a day of visiting temples, ferry boat ride, shopping and eating. More photos of our day 3, including the crystal clear cable car ride, coming up soon! :)
