Spending Our Day At The Best Museum In Asia!

We headed to the Asian Civilisation Museum today and it was such an eye-opening experience. There were all sorts of artifacts from all over the entire Asian continent (such as China, Indonesia, The Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia etc) and over 5000 years of recorded history. The Museum was recently named the top museum in Singapore and ranked ninth in Asia by TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice awards. Furthermore, the Museum was the only Singapore museum ranked among Asia’s top 10 museums.

We didn't snap photos from the museum's exhibitions as we were too engrossed in the different artifacts and almost nobody else in the museum were taking photos too. Nonetheless, here are some of the photos that we managed to capture today. Enjoy!

Sleepy Nathan and Shayne's hand :D

Shayne kept hugging this large orange object. :) There are several large textile objects for children to play and touch in this room too!
His intense don't-mess-with-me stare. Haha
Nathan was very intrigued by the mirrors and all the large colourful objects around him..

We left the museum after about 2 hours and decided to walk around the Clark Quay area..
Soon, we were back home and here's baby Nathan lying and smiling on our family's bed. He's sleeping lesser during the day now and can stay awake for 1-2 hours before he takes a nap again.
Playing with the camera :D
Shayne was completely knocked out and he's still sleeping as I'm typing right now. Haha!
Overall, it was a good day as we got to learn more about the different cultures of our Asian continents. We also gained much more general knowledge of the various ancestral cultures of Singaporeans, and their links to Southeast Asia and the world too. :)

/ps: For those curious, Shayne's blue striped long-sleeve shirt and anchor-print shorts are from, a local click and mortar store set up by Mummy Cher and Daddy Darren. Every piece of clothing from their store is specially curated with an eye for detail, style and comfort for all kids. New designs are launched regularly and every design comes in limited quantities. Fun fact: Shayne's blue striped long-sleeve shirt was also featured in Mother & Baby magazine! And it's made of 100% cotton, which is perfect for Singapore's hot weather. There are other unique and quirky clothing designs for girls and boys too! Two of my favourites are this and this. Remember to quote the special 15% discount code "SBA15" before you checkout. Have fun checking out their clothing for kids, and have a great week! :)

UPDATE: Privi-kids can also be found at Changi City Point, #02-04, and their store is beautifully adorned with the latest kids clothing and accessories! Do check it out if you're going to Changi City Point, and let's support our fellow Singaporean's business endeavour today! :)
