3 weeks ago, on a Sunday morning, the four of us decided to head out to the park and reservoir to escape from the hustle and bustle of the usual city life. Here are some of photos that I managed to snap that day...

This is one of my favourite photos. We were at Lower Pierce reservoir and walked along the forest trail which led us to this beautiful scenery.. (Fun fact: "The lower pierce reservoir is 6 hectares in size and contains many trees that are over 100 years old. There is a Lower Peirce Trail, which is a 900-metre boardwalk that takes visitors through a mature secondary forest. The reservoir is the source of the Kallang River, the longest river in Singapore.") Ever since that Sunday, I've been pestering Papa for us to return to the reservoir to enjoy the serene surrounding, hopefully we'll visit this beautiful place soon!
We went to a nearby park before heading to the reservoir!
So cool ;) #fatherandson #swag

Nathan, deep in thoughts... :D
Our little mister! ;)

Smiling with baby Nathan // It was a lovely Sunday morning, and luckily the weather was fine that day! :)
Stepping on the pebbles which (supposedly) helps to improve your blood circulation, and make you feel refreshed and invigorated. But as you can see, it's a painful process...

Happy Nathan #1 :D
Happy Nathan #2! I love watching him smile..  He'll always give such a wide toothless gummy smile and it's seriously the cutest. :D

Pretty flowering plants :)

Soon, we left the park and headed to the reservoir! It was wonderful to be away from the chaotic city life and crowded areas of Singapore that day...

"Mama, stop taking photos! We need to hurry up, Papa is gone!!" Shayne said this several times when he was with me. But I just had to take some photos with my elder son!! Haha, a mum got to document some special memories once in a while. ;)
Walking carefully at the boardwalk which was just above the water...

Happy Shayne-Shayne
Perfect scenery // Papa and sleeping baby Nathan

We came across many monkeys when we were leaving the reservoir and it was such an interesting sight! They're definitely NOT afraid of humans and there were a few big signs warning the public not to feed them.

They kept doing this to each other!!!! I guess checking each other's butts and errr, anus, is part of their grooming process. :/
There was a monkey just below our car, beside the tyre, and we had to wait for it to leave before we could drive off. #fearlessmonkey
Tired baby Nathan after the trip to the park and reservoir...
Another favourite photo of mine... This was taken just before baby Nathan fell asleep in Papa's arms. He was whining and fussing quite a bit, and Papa quickly carried him to the reservoir to distract and calm him down. I'm so grateful to have a guy who is so loving and patient towards our kids. :)

And that's the end of this nature post! To those who are nature-lovers or would like to see a different side of Singapore, Pierce Reservoir is one of the places to go. You have to walk along the wooden board walk; it's an indescribable feeling to be walking on top of the river, knowing that you're that close to nature. Just seeing all these photos makes me miss that place again... It's such a calming, tranquil and serene place to spend the day at.

We also went to the The Henderson Waves Bridge a few days ago, and the view from the top was spectacular. I shall upload photos of that soon, till then, ciao! :)
